Joseph Michael Cassano passed peacefully on January 17, 2021 in Fairfax County, VA. He was born in Hazleton, PA and had 4 siblings. He was a veteran of WW2 serving in the Army in the Philippines and New Guinea. After the war he resided in Washington, DC, and met his wife, Emily (who preceded him in death in 2006). They had 3 children, and 2 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Joseph worked as CPA and became partner in the Grossberg Company, a public accounting firm, retiring in 1985. In retirement, he worked for the Catholic organization, Ambassadors of Mary. He was very proud and happy to have met Mother Teresa when she was visiting her convent in Washington, DC. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Catholic organization. He will be missed very much by all.
