Joseph O. Vitale Jr.

Joseph O Vitale Jr., 81, of Springfield Va., passed away on September 23, 2022 in Springfield Va. Joseph was born in the District of Columbia to Joseph and Mary Vitale on April 25, 1941. He married Peggy Lawrence on June 24, 1972 in Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Arlington Va. He worked as a technician for Washington Gas Company for 32 years. He also enjoyed playing on multiple softball and bowling leagues over the years Joseph is preceded in death by his father Joseph O Vitale Sr. mother Mary Vitale and Brother Frank Vitale. Joseph is survived by his wife Peggy Vitale, Sister Shirley Binsky, nephew Richard Binsky and great niece Lucille (Lucy) Binsky. A visitation for Joseph will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22151. A visitation will occur Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22151. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Columbia Gardens, 3411 Arlington Boulevard, Arlington, VA 22201. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22151.
