

Joy was an Army wife for more than 24 years. She moved her family to Germany to accompany her husband on two deployments. She was an active member of the Army Officer Wives' Club, and volunteered for many charities and events as an Army wife.
Joy worked for the Department of the Army, Corps of Engineers, in Alexandria, Va., where she served as the Chief of Dispersing for Humphrey Engineering Center (HEC). She retired from the Corps of Engineers after 22 years of Federal service.
Beloved wife of Joseph C. Falbo, Jr.of Alexandria, Va., she is survived by her son, Joseph S. Falbo of Alexandria, Va.; a daughter, Teresa R. Mitchell of Woodbridge, Va.; a brother, Jon H. Blake of Latrobe, Pa.; two grandsons, James P. and Ryan S. Mitchell of Woodbridge, Va.; four nephews; and a niece. Funeral Services will be held at the Ft. Myer Chapel on Thursday April 19, 2012 at 3:00 pm with Inurnment at Arlington National Cemetery to follow. Arrangements under the direction of Demaine Funeral Home, Springfield, VA.
