Kimberly de Mello

Kimberly de Mello, age 61, of Lusby, Maryland passed away on April 11, 2024 in Fairfax, Virginia. Self-titled “Fun Gal”, Kim was born at Inova Fairfax Hospital to Billie and Ray on April 2, 1963. She married John de Mello on May 25, 1985 at Fort Myer and they raised their 3 daughters in North Springfield before moving down to Lusby, Maryland to be on the Bay. She worked as a Sales Compensation expert for 35 years in the IT/Government Resale world. Kim is preceded in death by her father, Raymond James Hayes; her mother, Billie Sparks Hayes; and her brother-in-law, Chip Hampton. Kim is survived by her husband of 38 years John de Mello and her daughters Kerry Dianora (Vince), Madeline de Mello (John), and Sarah de Mello (Justice). She was known as Grammy to her grandchildren, Charlotte and Anthony, who both held a special place in her heart. She also leaves behind her beloved Village and a host of granddogs. Visitation will be 2:00-5:00pm on Sunday, April 28th at Demaine Funeral Home in Springfield, Virginia.
