L T Sandles Jr.

L.T. was born in San Angelo, Texas to L.T. Sandles Sr & Myra Dell Craig Sandles on February 24, 1947. He went to school at Roswell High. He married Gloria Diann Franklin on August 21, 1967, in Roswell. He worked as a Chef for the Fort Belvoir Golf Club for 21 years where he received an Exceptional Employee award. He was a veteran of Vietnam and served in the Army and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

L.T. is preceded in death by Myra Sandles, L.T. Sandles Sr, Thomas Sandles and Clarissa Sandles.

L.T. is survived by Gloria Sandles, Andrea Sandles, Michael Sandles and Katharine Binkley, Henry and Cecil Sandles, Michael Sandles Jr, Brianna Lewis and Aidan Lewis.

Visitation will be between 2 pm and 5pm on April 26, 2026, at Demaine Funeral Home at 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield Virginia 22151.

L.T. will be cremated and his ashes laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery, Arrangements are by Demaine Funeral Home.
