

On January 29, 2015, (age 87) Peggy Rae Reynolds passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, LTC (ret) Bernard ("Bud") Reynolds; brother Tom Carter; sister-in-law Kate Lowman; daughters Barbara Myerson, Cheryl Demas, Judi Borcherding; "Sons In Love" Jay Myerson, Gary Demas, Joe Borcherding; nine grandchildren,Joshua B.R. Myerson, Jennifer R.M. Samuelson (Patrick), Matthew A. R. Myerson, Greg M. Demas (Krystle), Nick A. Demas (Tiffany), Angela D. Genazia (Eric), Diane M. Demas, Michael J. Borcherding (Amanda), Mark S. Borcherding (Mary); and one great granddaughter, Ryland O. Genazia.
Peggy was born on December 6, 1927 in Denver, Colorado and grew up during the Depression in Arlington, Texas; Guymon, Oklahoma; and Chicago Heights, Illinois. She was a devoted Army wife who served our country with Bud overseas in Korea, Ethiopia and Japan in addition to being a long-time resident of Springfield, Virginia. Throughout their long and happy marriage, Peggy and Bud were apart from each other for only thirty days. Peggy was an avid reader who delighted in her family, playing bridge, Broadway musicals, dance, financial investing and studying medicine. Relatives and friends may call at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Rd, Springfield, Virginia on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8. She will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Smile Train and Make A Wish Foundation.
