

Raymond Angelo LeDonne, age 91, a resident of Springfield, Virginia passed away on April 4, 2012. He was born in 1920 Ronco, PA. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) for 6 months. Worked in repairing homes in Adah, PA for the Palmer Mine and worked at the Palmer dock loading barges. Raymond served in the U.S. Airforce as a Corporal from 1941-1946. He then married Mary Venanzi who passed away in January 2002. He lost his only daughter , Carma Jean Benson who died in 1990. He has three surviving grandsons from Carma, Michael, William and Matthew Benson.
Mr. LeDonne has other work experiences with working Demolition in Arlington, VA for 15 years. He worked for American Stone in Springfield, VA for 35 years. He has been a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Alexandria, VA. He was a member of the American Legion, Disabled Veterans, DAV Commander Club, of the VFW.
He brother’s Pete, Telio and Frank , sister, Angela LeDonne Ungurean from PA all predeceased, parents, Francesco and Mary LeDonne also predeceased.
He is survived by Domenic LeDonne of PA and Jean LeDonne Goodson of Arlington, VA; three grandsons, Michael (Jackie), William (Heather) and Matthew (Courtney) Benson; five great-grandchildren, Dalton, Taylor, Austin, Hunter and Walker Benson.
Funeral Mass will be at St. Lawrence Catholic Church 6222 Franconia Road, Alexandria, VA 22310 with times pending. Burial at Fairfax Memorial Park Fairfax, VA 22032.
