Mrs. Rebecca T Myhre

Becky was born in Richmond, Virginia to Aldridge and Elizabeth Timberlake on June 25, 1943. She attended high school in Wilson, North Carolina. She married Jim Myhre on January 13, 1968 in Williamsburg, Virginia. She graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a member of Kappa Delta. She was passionate about and talented at needlepoint, and was a member of American Needlepoint Guild, Embroiders’ Guild of America, Nelly’s Needlers Needlework Group, and Loudoun Sampler Group. She was strong in her faith as a lifelong Episcopalian.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Aldridge and Elizabeth Timberlake, as well as her brother Bob Timberlake.

Becky is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jim Myhre, son Mike Myhre and daughter-in-law Kate Myhre, daughter Beth Shannon and son-in-law Brian Shannon, and grandchildren Rebecca Shannon, Alex Myhre, and Owen Myhre, and her niece Nancy Rotarius.

Pallbearers will be Mike Myhre, Alex Myhre, and Owen Myhre.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 6509 Sydenstricker Road, Burke, Virginia 22015 with The Rev. William L. Packard of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, officiating. Reception immediately following at the church. Burial will follow at Quantico National. Arrangements are by Demaine Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given in Becky’s name to the American Cancer Society and the Salvation Army.
