Stephanie Gail York

Gail was born in 1961 in Falls Church, VA, the daughter of the late Dr. Henry E. York and Betty Ewing York. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1979 and attended James Madison University afterwards. She received her Associates of Art in both Philosophy and Religion from Lord Fairfax Community College, class of 1998. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services Counseling from Old Dominion University, class of 2000 and went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Project Management from George Washington University, class of 2008. She worked as a Project Manager for Lockheed Martin, preceded by time at Navy Federal Credit Union.

Gail is survived by her son Steven R. Bender III, her sister Elizabeth “Libby” Johnson (Todd), brother Henry “Chip” York Jr. (Anna-Marie), and grandson David Bender. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her nephew Aiden E. York.
