I first met Tara in Peekskill New York when I was in preschool. We became life long friends. I lived in the corner of Orchard street and she lived four houses up on the opposite side of the street. We both attended Oakside Elementary School but she was a year ahead of me. I treasure many memories of her. We spent countless hours in summer playing games on my porch and in winter we ice skated on the pond. On the 4th of July, we watched the parade together and the fireworks in the evening. My family moved to N.Y.C. when I was in fourth grade and Tara was in the fifth grade. She visited me in N.Y.C. and I continued to see her over the years on my frequent visits to Peekskill. Eventually she moved to VA and I moved to CA but we stayed in touch. I will miss you very much my dearest and oldest friend. I treasure our long friendship. May you Rest In Peace, Tara. My deepest condolences to you, Michael, and the family.  

Tara was a marvelous example of the best of her generation:  she was a professional woman, who raised an exemplary family, while working for almost five decades.  She became an expert in her chosen field at the Pentagon and a generous colleague to all. 
Can only imagine what a marvelous grandmother she was to her four grandsons!

Tara was such a kind and beautiful lady and we will really miss her.
Two special memories come to mind about Tara:
We spent a wonderful time at the National Zoo when our daughter was under 2. We will never forget her love of animals especially the elephants. We enjoyed Mexican food after the Zoo.  We will treasure this memory.
Another time, Tara and Michael babysat our cocker while we visited my mother in Arizona. The cats made fast friends with Sandy and we’ll always be grateful for Tara and Michael’s kindness.
To Michael, Nicole, Jennifer , the grand babies and the rest of Tara’s family, our hearts go out to you and may the Lord give you peace in your time of grief.

I was a childhood friend of Tara's.  I went to piano lessons with her and she would teach me some tunes.....Her family treated me like family.   Lynn, Robin and Miles ...we had such fun.  Her Mom and my Mom were in Girl Scouts together.   I used to go on trips with them to visit Goggy  her grandmother.  She will be sorely missed by her classmates PHS Class of '59. Tara and I went back a long way. We were roommates at the George
Washington University for a long time.  Later on, we went separate
way because Tara's work was with the Pentagon in Washington DC and I went to New York to work on Wall Street. But we continued to keep in touch and shared our life experiences. Our time as roommates
will be forever with me as we went through a lot of fun such as the time when Tara taught me how to make my bed!! and  I taught her how to cook. These memories I will never forget.
