Age 66, of Springfield, VA went home to the Lord on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Fairfax Hospital surrounded by his family. Tom courageously struggled with health issues his entire life without complaint.
Tom was born in Shamokin, PA on April 12, 1953, the son of the late John Klacik Jr. and Anna Wengiel Klacik. He was a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School and Central Penn Business School in Summerdale, PA. He retired from the Accounting Department of the FBI in Washington, DC following 38 years of service.
Tom was an avid supporter of Penn State Football, the Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Washington Nationals. He also enjoyed attending his grandson’s sporting events. He enjoyed collecting miniature train sets and collecting Hess Trucks and Baseball Cards with his grandson.
He is survived by his beloved wife Kandy Bistline Klacik, daughter Paula, sons Adam and Bryan, and grandson Cameron Klacik. He is also survived by his late brother Eugene and living widow Linda of Elysburg, PA; brother Ronald and wife Jane of Carlisle, PA; sister Marlene Markle and husband Michael of Easton, PA; brother Robert and wife Elizabeth of Bethlehem, PA; sister-in-law Barbara and brother-in-law David Crawford of Spring Grove, PA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The Family will receive friends at St. Bernadette Catholic Church (7600 Old Keene Mill Road; Springfield, VA 22152) from 1pm-2pm on Saturday, February 8, 2020.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow from 2pm-3pm.
Internment will take place Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the Landisburg Cemetery in Pennsylvania at 1:30pm.
