Timothy C. Haller, born September 16,1968, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by loved ones on May 14, 2026, at the age of 57. Tim is survived by his wife, Sharon, his mother Linda Chyko Haller, his brothers Todd and Ian (Megan) Haller; by his god children Madelyn Haller, Finn Kasten, and Blake Chyko; by his nephew Nick Haller and niece Irelyn Kasten; and by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tim was preceded in death by his grandparents, godparents, and father, Bart Haller.
Tim was born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, and raised in Vienna, Virginia. Growing up, his love for baseball began with Little League and continued as he joined multiple APBA baseball leagues. His baseball dream was fulfilled when baseball came back to DC, and he saw the Nationals win the World Series.
Tim graduated from George Mason University, with a degree in Communications, where he tried his hand at radio broadcasting. While that didn’t stick as a career, the lifelong group of friends he met continued to enjoy GMU basketball. Tim spent his career in credit management and finance and was an active member of the Lorton Station Community Association Board.
Tim lived for his annual pilgrimage “Back Home Again” to the Indy 500. A tradition that started with his childhood friend, Howie, and grew to include his brothers, his nephew, cousins, and friends.
Tim and Sharon met bowling but gave it up quickly to chase bigger adventures together. As a willing, but nervous traveler, Tim shared the love for new experiences with Sharon, as they traveled the world near and far. Ireland was a favorite destination, where he enjoyed exploring and having a pint or two of Guinness.
Tim was a bright light with a smile that lit up his face. He built deep, lifelong friendships, and was a true friend to so many. He was quick with a joke or movie quote for any situation. He loved spending time with family and friends, whether at family reunions, the annual OBX trips, or just hanging out.
Tim’s family and friends will gather at Daniel O’Connell’s Irish Pub in Old Town Alexandria, Saturday, June 6, 2026, for a celebration of life from 1-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Tim’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Tim will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
