
Wanda Miller of Annandale, VA, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2011. She is survived by her husband Dan; son Dr. Robert Miller (Bobby) and daughter Susan Miller (Suzy); daughter-in-law Dorothy O'Connor Miller; three beautiful grandchildren Mark, Claire and Ryan Miller; sister Skolci Buchanan and brother-in-law Dave Buchanan; brother Marion Dudek; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sister Elsie Wlas. She was born in Philadelphia and attended Temple University. She was a homemaker who was formerly employed by the U.S. Navy Department in Washington and Philadelphia's Naval Boiler and Turbine Lab, which played a key role in the Manhattan Project. She was a longstanding member of Washington's Polish National Alliance 848. She had a tremendous love of family, friends and her Catholic faith, and she was an angel who touched many lives. Viewing at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Rd., Springfield, VA, Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 2 to 3 p.m. (family only); 3 to 4 p.m. (Rosary at 3 p.m.); and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 18, 2011 at 12 noon at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Annandale, VA.
