Wendy Jeanne Mohay

Wendy was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Helen Heidig and Lester Carrigan on December 29, 1952. She married Karl Mohay on May 30, 1982 in Airlie, Virginia. They had two children, Kyle and Brittany. In high school, Wendy was a cheerleader and loved to share stories with her children about that time in her life. As she grew older, Wendy loved to garden, do aerobics at home and spend her Friday nights completing crossword puzzles in pen. She took pride in caring for her family and her home. Wendy loved celebrating the holidays with friends and family and made sure to decorate her entire house to commemorate each occasion. Wendy had a fun loving spirit and enjoyed having a good time. Her smile and laugh were contagious to those around her. Over the years Wendy was a proud "dog-mom" to two golden retrievers and two cocker spaniels, which she loved dearly. With her passing, she leaves behind an Australian shepherd, Bella.

Wendy is preceded in death by her loving husband, Karl Mohay, her big brother Les Carrigan, her parents Helen and Les Carrigan, her amazing sister-in-law, Barbara Mohay and brother-in-law Tom McGarry. As well as her mother-in-law Gwendolyn Mohay and father-in-law John Mohay.

Wendy is survived by her children, Kyle Mohay, Brittany Mohay Nadir and son-in-law Shay Nadir and her 3 precious grandchildren: Sofia, Najaf and Daniyal Nadir, her big sister Gayle Driskell and her twin bother Joel Carrigan. Wendy was also a loving aunt to so many nieces and nephews and a caring sister-in-law.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral and Burial service at 2pm on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Quantico National Cemetery in Quantico, VA at 18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172. Wendy will be laid to rest with her husband for the last time in their forever resting place.
