Alleda was born in St. Louis and attended Wellston High School. She was married three times: twice to Ralph Caudle and once to Melvin McKiddy. Over the years, she worked as an Insurance Adjuster and ran a tool and die company with Ralph Caudle and her step-son, Rick Caudle.
Alleda is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Patricia Hamil and three of her children, Diane Fujiwara (husband – Kent), Scott McKiddy (wife Kim) and Gary McKiddy. In addition she leaves nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Allie Hamil; one daughter –Karen Boxerman Chenier, sister-in-law - Gale McKiddy, and two brothers – Milton and Jack Hamil and their wives.
She loved to travel, go to the theatre, fish and go out to eat on Wednesday evening with Ray, Pat, Gary and Rollin Stewart. Wednesday dinner was accompanied by either Merlot wine or Margaritas.
A graveside service will be held at Mount Lebanon Cemetery on St. Charles Rock Road at 2 pm on Friday January 16 and a memorial gathering will be held the next day, January 17 at El Agave Mexican Restaurant, 3803 Elm Street, St. Charles between 2:30 and 5 pm.
