With heavy hearts we share the passing of Carl "Gene" Bonine on February 19, 2026, at the age of 81. He was born on July 8, 1944 in Versailles Missouri. He was a resident of Overland, Missouri. Gene is survived by: his daughter Suzanne Bohmer (Robbie); his grandchildren Jennifer and Zachary Bohmer; his great-grandson Exton Bohmer. He is preceded in death by: his parents Carl and Lena Fay (nee: Doyel) Bonine; and his sister Linda Kay Buehrer (Clarence).
Gene owned Quality Specialized Laundry. He was very dedicated to his family business, not retiring until the age of 77. It seemed that everyone in the family worked for him at some point in their lives. He loved travelling and going to the casino; he also loved vidalia onions. But most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Visitation is scheduled for March 2, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 Saint Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, MO 63074.
The funeral service will follow on March 2, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the same location, with burial at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, also at 11101 St Charles Rock Rd, Saint Ann, MO 63074.
