Delores “Dee” Smith (nee Metzner), 67, entered into Heavenly Rest on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Irma Metzner. Dee is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Ernest Smith; children, Bridget Metzner and Joshua Smith; step daughter, Heather Hudson and her daughter, Trinity; and her sister, Joan (Bill) Morgan. Dearest aunt, Godmother, cousin, and friend of many.
Dee was a faithful servant of the Lord and member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in St. Charles where she participated in several groups, including the Senior Shenanigans. She was kind-hearted and would offer to do anything for anyone and was persistent in her promises to those she loved. Dee enjoyed sewing and crocheting and her work was beautiful. Her humor, smile, and big heart will be missed, but her warmth of spirit will remain forever.
Friends may visit on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2800 Elm St., St. Charles, MO 63301 from 10 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 11:30 a.m. A luncheon will follow the service.
