Dominic Farace, 64, of St. Louis, passed away on October 10, 2012, at the Missouri Veterans’ Home. The previous day he accomplished one of his life-long goals, completing the requirements for his GED certificate. It was important to him that he get that done, and he did, his family said.
Dominic was a man who loved many people and activities. He loved to play guitar and sing, which he did often to the delight of his fellow residents at the veterans’ home. Dominic was a proud veteran and proud of his country. He served in the U.S. Army as a cook and was stationed in Germany during his military career. He spent his working life as a watch maker and repairman.
Dominic will be cremated and his family will take him back to Colorado, a place he loved when he lived there several years ago. His ashes will be spread in his beloved and beautiful mountains.
A Memorial Service is pending.
