

First born to Delberta & William Florea April 13th, 1949. Resided most of his life in Hazelwood, MO. He proudly served and protected his country from 1970-1976 with the US Army as Specialist 4th class. Followed his passion and talent to become a skilled craftsman. Was a member of the carpenters union Local 97, he may have retired in November 2012, but still spent countless years donating his time to build other’s dreams..
Gene is preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Bridgewater, daughter Amanda Lee Florea, brother James (Jim) Florea, father William (Bill) Florea and his grandparents.
He is survived by his mother Delberta (Brocksmith) Florea, former wife/ friend Connie Babe, his children Angie Sauer and wife Michelle of Tampa, Florida, William (Billy) Florea and wife Sara and Nathan Florea of Florissant, MO. Grandchildren Shelby and Tyler Florea, 2 sisters Vicky with husband Al Weibel, and Audrey Florea. Nephew Jimmy Florea and wife Kerry. Great nephews Jackson and Parker, great nieces Taylor and Alex.
Everyone who met Gene will never forget his infectious generosity and need to help others. He had contributed countless years of service helping his church and The Moolah Shriner's.
He was known as a son, brother, husband, father, uncle and his most precious title was PaPa!
A Visitation for Everett will be held Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 Saint Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, MO 63074. The Funeral will occur Friday, January 31, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. The Committal will be held at a later date.
Contributions in Everett's memory may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, or to the Moolah Temple Transportation Fund.
