James is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Karin Bristow, with whom he built a life rooted in love, laughter, and family. He was a proud and cherished father to Diane Hines, Ron (Lynn) Saffley, Theresa (Neil) Wolf, and Kevin (Sam) Bristow, and a loving grandfather to Lindsey, Brian, Savannah, Alexa, Kayla, Abi, Ellie, James, and Jackson, all of whom brought him immense joy.
He is also survived by his dear siblings, Janice (Ron) Crump and Ken (Maya) Bristow.
James dedicated 49 years of loyal service to Killark Electric, a career he took great pride in. Known for his quick wit, great sense of humor, and constant doodling, James had a way of bringing smiles to those around him and leaving a little bit of joy wherever he went.
Services:
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Alexander White Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, MO 63074. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
