Laverne truly enjoyed her summers on staff at Camp Miniwanca in Michigan.  That is where I met her back in the 1970's, and we stayed in touch all these years.  We exchanged cards each year at Christmas and shared our "dog stories."  Laverne will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Laverne was a best friend for me for many years.  I can't believe she won't call me or we can have lunch.  I miss her too much already.  She loved her family, her church,the CHM, and her dogs. I know she will looking down from Heaven.

I met Laverne at Camp Miniwanca many years ago.  Laverne loved to drive and was the Camp Driver, taking people to the airport and picking them up there.  She knew the back roads and drove the fastest time between the airport and camp.  I bunked in the room next to her in Seay Building.  She had a great sense of humor.  I spent over 10 summers on staff and the memories are blurred together.  I remember her not so much driving me, but sitting in a chair in the Seay Lobby waiting to walk over for dinner or at the end of the day when we might gather.

Laverne was a dear cousin and friend. She was our St. Louis Social Secretary who would faithfully plan lunch get-togethers when out of town cousins visited St. Louis. She was a wonderful lady. A precious member of our family. She's dancing with Jesus today! :)

So sorry to hear of dear cousin Laverne's passing.  What a wonderful, loving lady!  I wonder how many of her doggies met her as she crossed over!  Much love to you all during this time, she'll be greatly missed.

It was a great pleasure to have known Laverne for the last 17 years.  We were both associated with Community Helping Ministry (CHM).  Laverne's service and dedication to the organization helped to make CHM the success it is today.  She will be greatly missed.

Our deepest condolences to Laverne's devoted, close family, and all of her loved ones at church and in the community. She was one of a kind, and we were all blessed to have known her.

Laverne was a dedicated and very dear volunteer at Community Helping Ministry for 21 years, receiving her 20 year plaque last summer. She volunteered twice a week on a regular basis, rarely missing a day, and you could always count on her to help with anything extra that was needed. She also served on the board of directors and was a wonderful advocate for the agency. She loved her work and friends at CHM very much.

Laverne, you will be missed beyond measure. A heart of gold, and a very special friend to all of us. Thank you for the ten years I had with you...lots of special memories together! I am grateful to have called you a dear friend, love you, and will miss you.
