Maudine Dyer, daughter of the late Henry and Bertha Ritter, was born in Bunker, Missouri, on November 27, 1927. She passed peacefully with her daughter by her side, at Harvester Residential Care in St.Peters, Missouri, on April 30th, 2026, at the age of 98.
Married to the late Thomas Earl Dyer until his death in 1994, Maudine was a devoted wife and mother. For many years she was an excellent bowler (she was small, but had a powerful cross alley straight ball shot into the pocket). She loved watching Cardinals baseball and golf. Maudine dedicated much of her time ensuring her daughter Beth, had pretty much everything she wanted. Following her husband’s death, Maudine moved in with Beth and Mark, helping to take care of the kids and the home (she did the family laundry until she was almost 95 years old, she insisted!). Most days, she could be seen working in the yard, including cutting the grass well into her 80’s. Following some medical events, she moved into Harvester Residential Care in spring of 2024, where she lived until her death.
Maudine was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Bill, Leo and Wilburn Ritter; and sisters: Pauline Haskins, Thelma Goble and Pat Cain.
Maudine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Beth and Mark Fanger; three step-grandchildren: Loren Soltish (Mike), Lyndsay Menz (Jake) and Brett Fanger (Stephanie); six step-great grandchildren: Emma, Mason, Everett, Drew, Parker and Henley; and her youngest sister Judy Martin.
The family has chosen to have a private service. Maudine will be interred at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Bridgeton, Missouri.
