Sydney Jule Schell (nee Borgeld), 86, of Bridgeton, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Julia (nee Strawbridge) Borgeld; her loving husband, John Schell; a daughter, Sydney Schell; her brother, Jack “Buddy” Borgeld; and her sister, Jeannie Thompson.
Sydney is survived by her daughter, Amanda (Brian) Smith; grandchildren, Adam (Alison Williams), Anthony(Claire), Grant (Candace), and Audrey; great grandchildren, Julian, Sophie, Charlotte, George, and Liam; many other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Schell was a very kind woman who loved to have fun and had a wicked sense of humor! She was widowed very young and worked hard to provide and raise her children as well as a nephew. She loved her cat Sheba and the family dog, Kaiser. She will be missed.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to the Make a Wish Foundation.
