Amber was born on March 6, 1990 to Steven Johnson and Carolyn Bradt in Detroit, Michigan. She grew up in Warren, MI and attended Warren Woods Tower High school. In high school, she participated in track and field, cross country and loved being a part of the marching band, concert band, round table show choir and musicals. She attended Western Michigan University and studied in special education. She also attended and graduated from Warner University with an associates degree in social work.
Amber had a calling and deep compassion for working with children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities. She worked as a paraeducator in Florida and Michigan with children of all ages. Special education was ingrained in her blood and she loved each and every one of the students she was blessed to work with.
Amber made many friends from all walks of life and wherever she lived. Her closest friends were a tight knit circle that she considered her family. She was loyal and steadfast, but also loved to laugh and be goofy. Her friends helped light up her life and she always put the needs of her friends before her own.
Amber had many passions, including music, art, road races, her beloved doggies and above all, horseback riding. Horseback riding had been a main love in her life since high school and continued to be both therapeutic and joyful experience throughout her life.
