Donnie, as he will always be to me, was one of the best cousin's I have.
Coming from my Mothers side of our family. His Mom & my Mom were close as sisters.
We spent a lot of summers enjoying our families together in Indian River.
Don was a special person who never met a stranger. He was the kindest person I knew.
As a teenager he met Carol and the rest is history. Best love story I ever knew . The love they shared through the years was like no other❤
Donnie, I know you are at peace. It's hard on your loved ones. I know they are comforted knowing your pain is gone.

Dad, I know you are in a better place without question. You walked with Christ not just with lip service but with your actions.  You have mentored me and guided me throughout my life to be a better person, to love everyone, and be strong with your convictions.  Dad I love the man I have become because of you I have been married 33 years, have two great kids, and two beautiful grandkids. I am happy knowing you do not suffer any longer and I hope I have the courage and strength  you have exhibited throughout your life to gracefully handle your sudden departure.

Papa McCain was a godsend for anyone who crossed his path. In the last few years, Brent and I have spend many nights making the long trip to go see Grandma and Papa McCain to have dinner (dessert, don’t forget dessert),  to talk, and share a good laugh! I never realized how close I would feel to them after just a few visits, it was like my late grandparents led me to them. Just before Christmas I got a strong urge to be Baptized, who better to ask them papa?? I asked and of course he accepted. The day of my baptism he baptized both my Mom (a surprise for me) and I. I’m blessed that I didn’t wait, there is no one in the world I would have wanted to do it for me more then Papa McCain! 💕 We love you Papa! Ride that Harley til the wheels fall off! Til we see you again! Tons of Love! 💕

Donald Eugene McCain Jr ~ was always known as " Dad" to me. I have known him since I was 5 or 6 yrs old.  I grew up with D' Anna, Skip and Mike living 3 doors down the street. Little did I know many years later I would find out through my genealogy research that I was cousins with Carol, D' Anna, Skip and Mike. I have so many memories but I will point out one..to show you why I call him "Dad". I remember many years ago when Don and Carol went away. D' Anna and I were young rebellious teenagers got an idea to drive her little powder blue vega before either one of us got our license. Needless to say Don found out when he got back ..like any parent would, boy was he upset. He treated me like I was his daughter too and I suffered his rebuke~ and rightly so. That's when I knew he would be my 2nd dad forever and Im so very grateful. A few years later He led me to Christ. Don has been my Father in so many ways and for that I am truly blessed. That is why he will always be " Dad" to me ❤🌹❤

My dad was a true gift from God to all his "family". He was the rock, firm foundation in Christ at home. He had many gifts bestowed upon him during his ministry life and teaching as guest speaker often at Madonna University, St. Mel's, St. Edith, St. Germaine and more. He was an honest, forth right teacher of the word. I'm thankful for the unconditional love he showed everyone he encountered. However, having the gift of discernment and deliverance caused quite a stir, at times. The gift of healing was all for God's glory! I know no other man like him. He is  missed beyond measure. He's certainly in paradise now.

I will always remember the song he used to sing to me. The hugs he gave me. And the love he showed me through the years. He was a great uncle that I will always hold in my heart.  I am truly blessed to have known him. I am truly blessed to have had him in my family.  And he was so proud of my son Dylan and i loved the way he loved me and my family. God has gained truly one of the best.  Uncle I love you akways. 

My family & l were blessed with 14 yrs of beautiful & special memories shared living next door to Don & Mrs. Carol. They were not only neighbors but embraced my family & became God parents to my children.  Don performed the eulogy at my father's funeral & for that l am forever grateful. We shared so many special times just sitting on the porch chatting it up or watching the kids come home from school & run next door to visit as he was always waiting for them- loving & guiding the children of the neighborhood the way he did was such a gift. He will forever be missed but l feel his spirit lives inside each & everyone he touched , l can hear his joyful laughter as l think of him & know he will watch over us until we meet again. 💔
