Evelyn Racette

Evelyn Racette, age 82, passed away on October 28, 2020. She was born in Pikesville, Kentucky to the her proud parents: Charles and Nancy Smith. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband in 1993, Norman. Evelyn is survived by her children: Nancy (Russell) Miller, Joseph (Linda Sawa) Racette, Charles (Debra) Racette; grandchildren: Felicia Miller, Philip (Autumn) Miller, Robert Miller, Morgan Racette, Ashley Racette, Charise Racette, Brittany Racette, Christine, Emily; great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Eva, Benteley, Addylyn, Jaedyn, Talen, Traeden, Tayahns, McKaley, Ashley, and Maison; and Angel her beloved dog. She worked at Big Boy and that is where she met Norman, the love of her life. She retired working from Kmart. Evelyn was a longtime resident of St. Clair Shores and a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. She loved taking care of her lawn, scratch off tickets, watching crime stories and game shows, and was very proud of her southern accent. A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of Hope on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 10:00 am.
