George Edward Lauder, age 94, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. George was born in Chicago, Illinois to parents George and Eva Lauder. He was the beloved husband of 53 years to the late Beverly Lauder. Loving father to George (Allyson) Lauder II and Virginia Lauder. Cherished grandfather to Brandy Lauder. George will be missed by all those who knew him.
He moved to Chana, IL in first grade and graduated from Oregon High School in 1949. He joined the Navy in 1950 and served on a destroyer during the Korean War until his discharge in 1954. He married Beverly Sword in 1955, and they lived in several states until they moved to St. Clair Shores, MI in Dec.1965. He originally worked as an accountant for several years until he joined Chrysler where he became a die maker and retired in 1994.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 18, 2025, beginning with a gathering at 4:00 pm until time of service at 5:00 pm, with military honors, at Triumphant Cross, 22360 13 Mile Road, St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48082.
George will be laid to rest in Ashton Cemetery, Ashton, IL, on Thursday June 26, 2025, at 1:00 pm.
