James Grandville LaForest III, age 46, passed away on August 22, 2023. He was born on February 27, 1977 in Detroit, Michigan to his loving parents James and Deborah LaForest Jr. James is survived by his beloved wife of 8 years, Michelle; loving children: Ryané, Adison; and sisters: Michelle (Rick) Moreton, Janice (Brad Gotts) LaForest, and Sharon (Larry) Moore. Also left to cherish his memory are his niece, nephews, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended relatives, and friends. James was a loving father and loved spending time with his children. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, camping, rock collecting, ice fishing, and just spending time outdoors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his children’s college funds. Visitation, Sunday, August 27, 2023 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. Funeral service, Monday, August 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. (Gathering 9:30 a.m.) at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Clinton Township.
