Jean M. McCarthy, age 93 of St. Clair Shores, Michigan passed away on February 19, 2021. She was born on March 24, 1927, to the proud parents of Robert and Ella Jamieson. Jean is the loving mother to Mary, Paul Kevin, Linda (John) Sadowski, Anne Ahyou, Sheila, and Daniel McCarthy. She is the cherished grandma to 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Jean had a passion for reading and card playing. She loved the City of Detroit which she served, for 35 years at the Detroit Police Department. Jean had a great zest for travel and was proud to have visited all 50 United States as well as several countries. She also loved to swim, and competed in the Senior Olympics where she medaled several times.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday March 24, 2021, from 3:30 pm – 7:00 pm, at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081. Donations in Jean’s name can be made to The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Michigan
