Joan Ellen Perry (nee Duryee), age 87, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Born August 17, 1936, to parents Deo and Ada Duryee. Loving wife of 37 years to Gerald N. Perry. Joan was step-mother to Michael (Francie) Perry and Kevin Perry. Grandmother to Aleksey Perry and Tegan Perry. Aunt to Beth Hare and Holly Denocour.
Joan was a lover of children, educator, earned a PhD, and was a friend of books. She completed her earthly tasks with excellence.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday August 31, 2023, beginning with a gathering at 10:00 am, until time of service at 11:00 am, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 26400 Little Mack Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081.
Interment will take place Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia, Michigan.
Donations in memory of Joan are suggested to the St. Clair Shores Library Children's Department.
