

With a gentle spirit and a kind-hearted way of moving through the world, June was deeply cherished by those who knew her. Her wisdom was felt in the steady presence she offered and in the quiet care she extended to family and friends.
June was the loving wife of the late Donald J. Pertner. She was a devoted mother to Gail (Roger) Heino and Phil (Anna) Pertner, and a cherished grandmother to Ryan(Sarah) Heino, Tanya (Matthew) Elsey, and Analiese Pertner. She was a great-grandmother to Brendan Carmack, Andrew Mills, Austin Mills, Mitchel Mills, Noah Saunders, Kaleb Mills, Jeremiah Saunder, and Aiden Elsey, and a great great-grandmother to Kayson Mills and Zayne Mills. She was also the dear sister of Bernice Traynor.June was preceded in death by her husband and grandson Joseph Pertner.
June found joy in collecting antiques and art, interests that reflected her appreciation for beauty and history. She worked for DuMouchell Art Gallery in Detroit for many years, and she also enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family. When she could, she liked to travel—embracing each opportunity with quiet gratitude and grace.
June will be remembered with respect and enduring affection, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to share in her life.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm, with a family sharing time at 7:00 pm, at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081.
Committal Service will take place on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 10:00 am, at Resurrection Cemetery 18201 Clinton River Road, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of June are suggested to the American Heart Association.
