Marilyn Bingle (nee Czech), age 88 passed away July 14, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Gerald. Loving mother of Gary (Mary Jo), Sandra (Dean) Pipitone, David (Darcia), Kathlene (Greg) Damm, Diane (David) Hinze and Gerald (Jennifer); loving grandmother to Sarah, Krystal, Marron, Devin, Carrie, April, Jenn, Dylan, Patrick, Michael, Rachel, Matthew and the late Lindsey; proud great grandmother of Harrison, Holden, Juniper, Alice, Everett, Aaliyah, Archer, Aurora, Ariel, Aiden and Jack.
Marilyn was the youngest of eight children, including her fraternal twin Edward. She was the last surviving child. Marilyn grew up on the west side of Detroit in a traditional Polish neighborhood, next door to the Tarnow Bakery.
She married Gerald Bingle on July 8, 1950. The young couple moved to Joan Street in St. Clair Shores in 1955. Marilyn retired from Stahls in 1994 after 16 years. Gerald passed away in March of 1998 and Marilyn continued to live in their family home until 2017. From there she moved into American House. She spent the last days of her life at her daughter Kathy’s home in Attica, MI.
Anyone who knew Marilyn, would say she was very loving and caring. If you were to visit her, she would always make sure you were well fed. She would usually have banana bread ready to serve and everyone would argue that hers was the best.
In lieu of flowers Marilyn’s wishes were that donations be made to honor her granddaughter Lindsey.
If you are attending visitation a face mask is required. We ask that you socially distance yourself from others as much as possible. The funeral home is only allowing 10 guests into the visitation room at a time and we ask that you keep your visiting with the family brief to allow others to pay their respects.
