Michael Arthur Petrocik, born December 21, 1955, passed away on March 18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and lasting connections. Mike was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Janice Petrocik, with whom he shared nearly 39 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life grounded in partnership, loyalty, and deep affection, with their anniversary approaching on April 4.
He was a proud and loving father—known affectionately as “Dad” and “Pops”—to Brian Jackson, Kristin Creson, and Jason Petrocik. His role as “Papa” to Emma Jackson, Andrew Creson, Meghan Creson, and Owen Creson brought him immense joy, and he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren.
Born and raised in Marquette, Michigan, Mike carried his roots with him throughout his life, but he quickly found a second home in the Detroit area. There, he embraced his passions for classic cars and heavy metal music, finding joy in the culture and community that surrounded them.
Mike had a rare gift for connection—he made friends wherever he went and treated each one like family. His warmth, humor, and genuine spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He will be remembered not only for the love he gave his family but also for the kindness and camaraderie he extended to so many others. Mike will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched, but his memory will live on in the stories shared, the lessons passed down, and the love that continues through his family.
Visitation will be held at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave, St. Clair Shores, on March 22, 2026, from 1:00 pm until time of service at 5:00 pm.
