My experience with Pete revolved around the Coast Guard Auxiliary.  His current role was leading Vessel Safety Checks, and he quickly helped me get my first qualification, my first ribbon, in this area.  Pete was quiet - only speaking up when he had something pertinent and useful to contribute.  I liked that about him, because when he spoke, people listened.  He was always ready to help, and did so often when anything needed to be built or fixed.  He was a wealth of knowledge in anything vessel-related, and always had a good story about a past experience on the water.  I am blessed by having known him, and will remember him whenever I do Vessel Safety Checks.  He will be missed greatly.

Pete was loved by all who ever knew him. There are so many stories of his kindness and sense of humor. He was a true friend and I will always cherish his memory. I can remember how he spent 3 hours working on my fathers car for me and how he would keep me laughing at work. He was dependable and lovable. I will miss you Pete.

It is with great sadness that I am posting about my dear friend Peter Bushons passing. Pete was a great friend and co-worker of mine at Global Remanufacturing for many years. I met Pete when I was about 14 years old. 
Pete had a heart of gold and would often go out of his way for anyone that needed help. He was a very talented mechanic that got a reputation for being able to fix cars that nobody else could figure out. Pete was also an avid outdoorsman and hunter, and could tell you how to catch, kill or hunt just about anything. He also volunteered for many years with the Coast Guard.
Pete was my counterman at Global Remanufacturing for almost 15 years. He was very well liked by the customers, and co-workers alike. I could always trust Pete, and depend on him. He was extremely honest and a good friend. You always knew where you stood with Pete, and he didn't hold a grudge. If you were wrong, he told you so, and he would encourage you to do the right thing. 
Pete was the kind of friend that you could call at 2am, and he would help you with whatever the problem was. 
He was a tremendous asset to have at Global as his knowledge of cars , and how to solve problems, and fix them was nothing short of amazing. Besides that, he could fix just about anything that broke in the shop. Pete could figure out ways to fix a broken machine, and find a solution to a problem that nobody else would even think of. I am shocked at his sudden passing, and so terribly saddened that I have lost my good friend. I will really miss you Pete.

P.S. The pictures were taken at Global. It was an extremely rare occasion that Pete let me take a photo. Pete did not like to have his photo taken. I was testing out a new camera, and I don't think he knew I was really taking pictures yet. Also in the pic is Teresa Noel who I know also sends her heartfelt condolences. We were a great team running the front of Global Reman, along with our manager Charlie Pruitt.
