Robert T. Long, Sr. (Bob) of St. Clair Shores. April 8, 1946 - January 2, 2026. Age 79. Beloved husband of Joyce for over 32 years. Loving Father of Raquel & Robert Long, Jr. Devoted Stepfather to Michelle (Rob) Rinaldi, Nicole Pyne (John), & Mike Pyne. Proud Grandpa of Katarina, Marino, Brice, Xander, Alec, Alexia, & Ava. Born to Gordon & Grace Long of Royal Oak, Bob was 1 of 5 siblings - Chuck (Patty-d.), John-d. (Fran), Larry (Grace), & Grace (Rick). Bob was a man of boundless energy & strength with a passion for the outdoors. He cherished camping under the stars, riding motorcycles on trails & open roads, & canoeing serene waters. Bob earned his 1st Degree Black Belt in Choi Kwang Do with his son Robert. He also loved to dance to 50’s & 60’s music, but country western was his music of choice. In fact, dancing is what brought him & his wife Joyce together! Bob loved to work with his hands & he took great pride in his work as a skilled Union Carpenter, crafting spaces that brought comfort and beauty to others. He retired at an early age in 1999. This early retirement allowed him to spend many joyful years with family, enjoying the seasons of Michigan, while also making plenty of time to go & bask in the warmth of the Florida sun. Bob’s legacy is one of love, laughter, & unwavering spirit – a testament to a life well-lived that will continue to inspire all that knew him! He will be FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS & DEEPLY MISSED!! A Celebration of Life to honor Bob will be held in late spring 2026.
