Rose "Rosie" Sorrentino

Rose married Angelo J. Sorrentino on May 7, 1949 at St. Joseph Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Rose is survived by her children: Steve Sorrentino (Debi) of Nevada, Susan DeFour (Rick) of Warren & Judie Lipiec (Paul) of Roseville, Grandchildren: Aaron Bias (Tabatha), Jade Sorrentino, Jessica Kleinberg (Ray), Michael Lipiec (Jamie) & baby Lipiec due March, 2015, Meagan Lipiec, Kelly Forster (Todd Gielecki) & Tara Forster. Great Grandchildren: Talia & Atira Bias, Sophia, Michael & Olivia Gerbasi, Madeline Grace, Eliza Noelle, Noah Paul & Dominic Raymond Kleinberg. Also survived by many endearing nieces, nephews, friends, cousins and extended family members. Rose was predeceased by her beloved husband Angelo Joseph in 2008, parents Michael and Josephine, sisters Vita, Katherine, Jennie & Frances. Rosie had many talents. She showered her entire family with various beautifully handmade afghans, baby sweaters, bonnets, booties. She decorated cakes for many years and made the grandkids birthday cakes and various special occasion cakes. She was an excellent baker, specializing in Italian cookies and her famous homemade pizza and spaghetti and meatballs. She was very involved with St. Angela Church for most of her life and made many of her closest friends there. She resided at American House form November, 2007 until March, 2014 when she became ill. That was her precious home. She was involved in every activity that was offered. She was the Queen of Wii bowling. She loved chair exercising, bingo, playing cards, participating in every craft that was offered and just being with all her friends at American House.

Rosie retired from Mario’s Meats and was loved by everyone there, co-workers and customers.
