It's just me again grandpa.   I wanted your memory book to extend to 2021,  because you are constantly in my thoughts. I miss your reassurance, that everything is going to work out.  I've been pondering what wisdom you would pass down, as we are living in a pandemic.  I wonder what you may of said or done during these times. However you lived through so much, I am glad you didn't have to live thru this too.   I know one thing for certain, you would tell us all to pray during these difficult times. 
I miss you more today, then I did the day you joined our father in heaven.  This hole in my heart will never heal.  
I will embrace life and try to be strong, just to make you proud with every step I take in life.  I will remain loyal to my family and carry on your traditions.  I promise, I will never forget anything you taught me.  I love and  miss you.  Lori

Dad, the first and most important thing you taught me was about salvation thru Jesus Christ , not just  by words but though his faith in God never failing till the very end when God took him. He also taught me to enjoy Gods creation traveling across this great country enjoying the beauty of nature, the majesty of the great mountains, rivers, forest, and oceans. Next he taught  the importance of family and love for our fellow man, and to help those less fortunate then ourselves. And after growing up in the depression the importance of saving when times are good because that can drastically change.
 He was my best buddy and his words will always be with me. Goodbye for now until we meet again !

I will always remember and miss grandpa and his  love for Christmas ! Grandpa with his video camera and big shining light!  Grandpa with his hardy chuckle laugh when he  talked to you! Grandpa,

You will be truly missed, I have so many great memories growing up with you. You have always been an incredible role model. You've taught me what is important in life family, friends and traditions. We have an beautiful family that you and grandma have created. You always kept your family close and I love getting together for holidays. I know that was very important to you. You've also taught me that you don't need material things to be happy, you need only certain things in life to be happy.  That is where family bond is so important and as a family you can and will get through anything that life throws at you.  I appreciate just how disciplined of a man you were. Something I try to do myself but struggle with at times.  


I will never forget jogging with you in Tucson Arizona back when I was in my early 20's and you were in your early 70's we jogged a couple of miles and I struggled to keep up with you!!! Again your discipline shinning through and it was amazing for me to see. Going for hikes in the mountains you were like a kid it was great. 

One of the most recent memories and one that will stick with me forever is watching you and how happy you were with Chase. I know it was only for a short time but you always smiled when he was around and you two had a special bond right from the start. 

Again family that's what life is about we all need to think about that more and have more discipline with many things in our own personal lives. I mean that's what Grandpa's life was about.  

Grandpa I will never forget you and what impressions you left on me.

Sharing a memory, or a life time of memories for my grandfather. 

My grandfather was my rock. We had a special bond.  There was not a moment in time that he made "my very insecure me" question his love for me.  I knew he loved me, he was my grandpa, he was my hero, and it was that simple.  He was the perfect grandpa.

 He truly endured a life of many difficult times, but he always greeted everyone with a smile  each day.  Then one my favorite thing about him, was the little chuckle he would give you when he said hello and your name.  It somehow reassured you that he was always happy when you came to see him.  He embraced life.  No matter how difficult or how wonderful, life was good with family in it.

However, some of my FAVORITE memories of my grandpa are of Christmas time.  Christmas will never be the same without him.  I am going to struggle this Christmas, and all the rest of them without him.  His traditions, his family time together, his video taping with bright lights, the order in which we unwrap gifts, fruit cake, cheese puffs, chips and dip, a glass of beer with a shot of whiskey, so many things.  My grandpa put the joy in Christmas . He would just sit back, smile and take in every moment of the event.  Then we would gather at midnight and eat together.  Bringing in Christmas, the birth day of Christ, together.  I hope some day I can fill his shoes for my children and future grand children and who knows maybe great grandchildren as he did.   

There will never be another him.  I am not so sure how to live without him. I am sure he will watch down on me from heaven and guide me.  "In other words", he always gave me reassurance that some how things will work out.
