Remembering Steve , I think about what a good friend, neighbor, and father he was.  He was always surrounded by his loving family and friends . He was a good friend to Kurt Heinrich.  They went to work together in their younger days in Texas and remained friends over the years until Kurt's death.  Steve always had a smile on his face like he enjoyed everyday of life.  My prayers for his family and friends at this sad time of loss.  God comfort and bless you all greatly.   From the heart, Lynda Medley

Steve Ahearn was the best friend I ever had in my life.  He would do anything he could to help people in need.  He didn’t have an enemy on this earth.  I knew Steve since he was 18 years old and new to Houston—I was shocked at his size.  Yes, he was that big all of his life.  Steve used to be a mechanic (among many other occupations) and he spent so much time fixing his friends’ cars that his was usually in a state of disrepair.  He moved back to Michigan years ago, but he always kept in touch and visited me every time he came to Texas (where he has a lot of family).  I am so happy to have had Steve in my life.  It was a privilege, Steve, to have known you.  You will never be forgotten.  Rest in peace, Big Guy!

May my friend Rest In Peace and wrap his wings around his family and friends.   Steve was a gentle soul who I miss terribly.   I am forever thankful that he and I found friendship and made memories together.  I cherish those precious memories.

Steve was a great guy! His family lived kitty corner across the street from my parents home on Alexander Street. Steve was one year older than me. We didn't hang out much but were friends and I knew him since we were kids. We did go fishing together a number of times on Lake St. Clair. I also remember shooting hoops with him in my driveway on a few occasions. Always friendly and upbeat. He would always stop and speak to you when he saw you. Great neighbor. If my memory is correct, he moved to Texas a short time after graduating from high school. I don't recall seeing him after that point in time but always wondered how he was doing. Great to see he was married with a wonderful family with three kids. Gone much too soon, Steve will be missed. 

Steve was the best man, father, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, husband anyone has encountered. He was sincere, genuine, comical, passionate, honest, kind. There is no one on this earth that can ever compare to the most wonderful man I have ever known! My heart is empty and lost right now, it will never be the same, but I know he is at peace now. I will never say GoodBye I will forever love my soul mate and there will never be a day I won’t grieve and miss him. RIP my love, I know you will watch over everyone and I promise I will make the trips that you wanted us to do more of. I love you now and forever!!
