Thomas Raymond Bahorski passed away suddenly on June 3, 2021 at the age of 79. He was born on August 28, 1941 in St. Clair Shores, MI. A lifelong resident of St. Clair Shores and a 1959 graduate of Lake Shore High School, Tom returned to his alma mater as a custodian and spent his entire career as a dedicated employee of the school district until his retirement in 2003. The simplest pleasures brought great joy to Tom. He was an avid sports fan that loved all things Detroit. He rarely missed watching his beloved Pistons, Tigers, and Lions, and he was always in the stands for high school games in which his nephew was playing or coaching. He was an excellent bowler and golfer that proudly displayed a plaque commemorating his hole-in-one on the 11th hole at his favorite course, St. Clair Shores Golf Club. For the last 20 years of his life, Tom could be found bowling at Shore Lanes or dining out at his favorite restaurants with his longtime companion and saving grace, Patricia Valborg Merz, who proceeded him in death by a mere four weeks. Tom was also proceeded in death by his beloved sister Judy (Bahorski) Zdankiewicz and his parents, Louise and Raymond Bahorski. Tom will be greatly missed by his brother-in-law Greg Zdankiewicz, his nephew Steve Zdankiewicz, and Steve’s wife Annie (Sakalian) Zdankiewicz and daughters Grace, Avery, and Lilly. Family and friends will gather to honor Tom’s life at a later date. Those wishing to honor Tom may make a donation to their favorite charity in his name.
