Veronica Joyce Porter-Bassi was born on July 21, 1959, in New Rochelle, New York, and passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 66.

Veronica resided in Detroit, Michigan with her beloved husband of 26 years James Bassi. She is the loving mother to Kelcey Porter, Robert Porter and step mother to Timothy (Rachel) Bassi, Tina Shaar, Tammy (Jason) Parish, James (Nicole) Bassi, and Jamie (David) Kelly. Veronica is the cherished grandmother of 24 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Robert Porter, Jeffrey Porter, Ronnie (Jennifer) Bland, Karla Bacon and the late Michelle Porter, Mother Maderia Kennedy-Porter and Father Julian Bland. Veronica will be missed by all those who loved and knew her well.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 21, 2026, beginning at 10:00 am, until time of service at 11:00 am, at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081.
