William E. Boyd Jr., 86, of St. Clair Shores, died on January 15, 2012 at Beaumont Hospital in Grosse Pointe. He was employed for many years at Variety Nut and Date Company. Served in the 1st Div, 8th Am Trac BN Marine Corp, during WWII, saw action in Peleliu & Okinawa. He was and avid Fisherman & Hunter, and Inventor of the two-way bait fishing lure. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59+ years, Jean in 2007. Beloved Father of William Jr. (Lynn), Patrick, Mark (Cindy), Scott ,Karen (Mark) Wilson, Robert and Albert Boyd, , Loving Grandfather of 6, Great Grandfather of 11. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Avenue, St. Clair Shores.
Family will receive friends Tuesday 3-9pm.
