William R. Troester, age 92, died April 27, 2015. Beloved husband of Janet. Loving father of Caroline (Ronald) Sattler and Suzanne (John) Papson. Dearest grandfather of Eric and Evan Sattler, and Cameron, Connor and Casey Papson. William was predeceased by his siblings Jack (Ann), Frank (Dorothy), Betty Troester and Eileen Troester. William was a WWII Veteran of the US Army and a recipient of a Purple Heart and four Bronze Battle Stars. He was also a member of the VFW Bruce Post #1147, the Moose Lodge and the American Legion. Visitation Wednesday 3-8 pm with a Vigil Service at 7 pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson, St. Clair Shores. Instate Thursday 9:30 am until time of Mass at 10 am at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, 21201 E 13 Mile Rd, St Clair Shores. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit, Michigan. Memorial contributions to the Disabled Veterans of America.
