Gary was definitely one of the good ones. A humble individual who was always sweet with everyone.
Enjoyed our conversations about  our Habs right up to April of this year.

Dear Ethel and family. 

Don and I have such wonderful memories of bbqs spent at our house, your house as well as Diane and Gary’s. We shared some really good times over the years. Gary will be missed by all who knew him. He was a gentle giant. Our hearts go out to all of you during this difficult time.

My Deepest Condolences to the Family of Gary who when I new & met Gary was 12 ave, we the Humphreys lived just down the street on 12th, a lot of memories of Gary in the 60ies, Thank You for those Memories Gary. RIP & watch over your Loved ones.

Un deuxième grand moment de bonheur, avec l’arrivée de Nathan.  Je n’oublierais jamais la gentillesse et la bonne humeur de mon beau père, il restera à jamais dans mon cœur.

La première fois que Gary rencontrait William. Un moment magique rempli d’émotion.

Gary was my oldest friend, like a brother to me. We did everything together from playing with tin soldiers and dinky toys at age five, to playing touch football, baseball, road hockey, and sharing many adventures as young men. Gary was an avid fisherman and every spring we would head to “the rapids” near Grande Moulin. We joined the cub scouts. As we grew older, we did all the things that teenagers do and some things that teenagers shoudn’t do. Gary and I were lucky to have great friends like Gary Mitchell, Bruce Beaver, and Ron Davies. We were lucky to meet two girls who could put up with us, and later marry. Ethel was the love of Gary’s life. He couldn’t wait to tell me about her when they first met at the Log Flume at Expo 67. It was a privilege to have Gary as a Best Man at my wedding. Gary was always a calm and reassuring presence in every situation. He was smart, kind, and without malice to anyone (except maybe Donald Trump, as Gary Mitchell reminded me!). He was a great friend and we will all miss him dearly.

Ethel, I don't know what to say, gone so young.  He was my bossum budy,  Same age as me.  I know we haven't kept in touch so much, but i saw him on Facebook.  which kept us all in touch with his jokes and pictures.  Will miss him.  You are in our hearts and thoughts. Uncle Gary was the kindest and gentlest of souls who always made the whole family welcome at his and Aunt Ethel’s home. All our love and support goes out to Ethel, Tracy, Scott, Carole, William, and Nathan, and Shawn and Rosanna.

To Ethel and family, Diane and I were shocked to hear the sad news and our prayers go out to you all. Gary and I go back to our teenage years and they were wonderful times. Going to LTM High School, Gary and I decided to brush our hair down and cut along like bangs and Voila we were a Beatle, but Principal Blakely found out and we were told to go home and not to come back until our hair was normal. Brushed our hair to the right and were back the next day. Our trip to PEI in 68 was a blast with Walter Johnson, Ron Davies, Bruce Beaver, and myself. It was an amazing time, and we had so many more wonderful times. We grew up in the best of times ever.
