1921-2013
Jeanne Chourre Forde of St. Helena passed away on January 1, 2013 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born in San Diego on August 24, 1921 to Emile and Catherine Chourre. A graduate of Stanford University, Jeanne worked as a registered nurse for almost forty years. She was a long-time resident of St. Helena and served as a volunteer at the St. Helena Public Library. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Forde Jr. and her daughter Ellen Barden, and is survived by five sons, four grand sons, and one granddaughter. The family gives thanks to her dear friends for their years of lasting support and friendship. At her request, no formal services are planned, though the family will organize an event at some future date.
