He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years Sylvia Lynn Soulsby, who passed in 2011.
Beloved father of Keith (Marina) and Alan (Terry). Cherished grandfather to Andrew,
Christopher, Colin, Michael and Lauren. Great grandfather to Bennett Soulsby.
Cyril spent most of his career with Montreal Standard Publishing until its closing in the late
1980’s. He will be fondly remembered as a Jeopardy enthusiast, rarely missing an episode and
Impressing everyone with how many answers he knew. Above all, he will be remembered for
The deep love he had for his family.
He will be missed by nieces and nephews across Canada: Lynne, Gary, Pam, Nancy, Donald, Gordon (d.2023), Donna and Joanne.
A private service will be held in the summer.
In lieu of flowers,contributions may be made to the Canadian Jumpstart program, a charity that helps children across Canada overcom financial barriers to participate in sports and physical activities.
