Daniel Patrick Tonner

November 19th, 1957 – December 1st, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel (Danny) Tonner on December 1st, 2025, at the age of 68.

Danny is survived by his children, Candace Tonner (Donny) and Sean Tonner (Brittney), and his beloved grandchildren Kaylee, Isla, Teagan, Presley and Haven. He is also survived by his parents-in-law Robert and Elizabeth Devine; brother-in-law Robert Devine Jr.; his niece Lauren Devine; and his nephews Brenden Devine, Mitchell Tonner, and Cameron Tonner. Danny is predeceased by the love of his life Robin Devine; his parents Kathleen Cunningham and Daniel Tonner Sr.; his brother Robert (Bobby) Tonner; and his sister Colleen Tonner.

Danny was diagnosed with Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (AAT) in his 40s, a condition that led to numerous health complications throughout his life. We are deeply grateful to the dedicated doctors and healthcare teams at the MUHC and Charles Lemoyne Hospital who provided compassionate care and support to Danny over the years, including most recently during his battle with liver cancer and complications related to his AAT condition.

The family will receive condolences at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 307 Rue Riverside, Saint-Lambert, QC, J4P 2H7 on Sunday December 28th, 2025 from 1pm to 4pm.

Danny and his wife Robin cared deeply about the well-being of children and often spoke about volunteering at the Montreal Children’s Hospital in their retirement.
