

Francis Paul Quesnel, AKA Frank, Frankie or Funkmaster Frank, passed away peacefully at his home on December 4th, 2021 at the age of 59. He grew up in Verdun where he attended Verdun Catholic High School and continued his education at Dawson College pursuing his passion for electrical engineering. Frank was a natural born entrepreneur, owning electronics businesses in Montreal, Toronto and Kingston, but he will always be known for his success as a DJ and Karaoke host from his teenage years up until the end.
Frank is survived by his son Christopher (Viviane), daughter Samantha and was a proud papa to Cameron and Mason. Frank is being welcomed by his cherished mother Joan Deegan and is survived by his father Lucien Quesnel, brother Lucien (Wendy) and sister Sarah (Yvon) as well as his many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles whom he loved dearly. Frank spent many loving years with Joanne Thompson, who he remained great friends with until his passing. He spent the last 11 years with his best friend and confidante Lucy Daigle as well as her three children Jonathan, Shanon and Stephane.
Over his 59 years on earth, through his passion, Frankie touched so many lives and will be greatly missed.
A service will be held at Saint Willibrord Parish, 351 rue Willibrord, Verdun, QC, Friday December 17th at 1pm. Following the service, the celebration of life will be held at Scotyz, 3979 Taschereau Blvd, Saint-Hubert, QC starting at 3pm.
