Kathleen Marguerite "Mimi" (nee Macdonald) Savoy

Pre deceased by her beloved husband Thomas Earl Savoy and her brother George. She will be deeply missed by her son Steven (Cheryl), daughters Kathleen (Robert) and Julie (Tony), her grandchildren Breanna, Alex, Nicholas and Jason, and her brother Doug (Lise).

She was born in Port Alfred, Quebec and moved to Three Rivers as a teenager. She was working at the paper mill when she met a handsome young engineer from New Brunswick. She married Tom in 1958 and her most important job became being our mother. She excelled at it. They moved to Saint Lambert (Preville) in 1967, where she lived the rest of her days.

She was the best baker, no one could make a better strawberry-rhubarb-apple pie! She loved the family dogs with all her heart. In her more active years she played golf at the Rock Pile and loved coach tours and cruises. She had the magic touch with her precious orchids. Later in life she enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles while people watching at her dining table.

Our deepest gratitude to Dr Claude Rivard, we will never forget your kindness and compassion. You brought peace to Mimi but also to her family in this difficult time.

There will be a visitation at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White, 307 rue Riverside in Saint-Lambert on Thursday, October 27 from 2-5 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday October 28 at St Francis of Assisi church, 844 Notre Dame in Saint-Lambert, at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
