Margaret passed away peacefully on May 15, 2015 at age 83. She will be sadly missed by her beloved daughter Nancy MacGregor, son-in-law Jason Bates and granddaughter Emily Bates of South Burlington, Vermont. She leaves behind her sister Susan Morrow and brother-in-law Robert Morrow of Greenfield Park, her sister-in-law Joan Newman of Brossard, her sister-in-law Rona Lines and brother-in-law William Lines of Pickering, Ontario, along with numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Robert MacGregor, parents William and Agnes Newman and brother Denver Newman. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and a loyal friend to many. In addition, she always had a special place in her heart for animals, and she adored her cat Baby. She will be remembered for her positive attitude, boundless energy and eagerness to help others. She will be sorely missed.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21 from 6:00-9:00 pm and Friday, May 22 at 9:30 am, followed by the chapel service at 11:00 am.
Burial at the Mount-Royal Cemetery at 3:15. pm.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
