It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marty Horton on August 31st 2026.
Marty is survived by Jennifer his wife of 17 years, and their three children, Victoria, Melody, and Michael, who were at the heart of his life. He leaves behind his father, Robert, and is reunited in heaven with his younger brother Justin and his mother, Marylou, recently passed.
Marty is survived by his brother Jason and his wife Christina, and their sons, Liam and Miles. He was also a loving uncle to Annabelle and Felix, children of his late younger brother Justin, and loving uncle to William, Madison, Celeste, Tyler, Britney and Lexi. He will be remembered with love by his many nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family, and dear friends.
Marty’s life was not without its struggles, but Marty was unforgettable. He was funny, charming, hardworking, friendly, generous, and warm-hearted—the kind of person people simply wanted to be around. He was also the first to lend a hand when someone needed help, often giving his time, his skills, or simply his presence without hesitation.
For many years, Marty worked in renovations, taking pride in working with his hands and getting the job done. He also carried a love of music throughout his life. His guitar and his voice could be found in Church, among friends, and around campfires, creating memories that will remain with those who had the privilege of sharing those moments with him.
To know Marty was to know someone who could bring laughter into a room, offer a helping hand, and make an ordinary moment feel like something worth remembering. The love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the memories he created will always remain.
His sudden absence leaves an immense hole in the lives of those who loved him. Marty will always be remembered for his humor, kindness, good heart, hard work, music, friendship, and love that he gave to others.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Visitation will be held at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White (307 Riverside, Saint Lambert) on Sunday, September 13th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
A service celebrating Marty’s life will follow in the Chapel of the Funeral Home at 4:00 pm.
